Style guide · Anklets
The easiest summer upgrade there is. A slim beaded anklet looks great on bare feet, sandals and the beach, and takes about ten seconds to put on.
How to measure
Wrap a soft tape around the narrowest part of the ankle, just above the bone, and add about 1.5 to 2 cm so the anklet sits comfortably. No tape? Use a strip of paper, mark where it overlaps and measure it against a ruler. Tell us the number when you order and we make the anklet to that length.
| Fit | Add to ankle measure | Feels like |
|---|---|---|
| Snug | +1 cm | Stays close, minimal movement |
| Standard | +1.5 to 2 cm | Sits naturally, a little give |
| Loose | +3 cm | Drapes and moves with you |
Stones for summer
- Turquoise: sea blue, the classic with tanned skin. See the turquoise guide.
- Hematite: metallic grey, the most low-key and unisex.
- Amazonite: pale mint, soft and airy.
- Howlite and sodalite: white and blue, a Greek flag palette.
How to wear it
- One slim anklet is enough. Two in different stones can look good if the colors match.
- Wear it on either ankle. There is no rule.
- Pair with a matching bracelet from the same stones for a set.
- Take it off for swimming and long beach days, as salt and sand wear silver.
Care
Anklets get more contact with water and sand than other jewelry. Rinse with fresh water after the beach, dry well, and polish the silver with a soft cloth. More tips are in our care guide.
Questions people ask
Which ankle should I wear it on?
Either one. It is a style choice, so wear it where it feels best.
Will it catch on socks?
Slim 4mm beads are smooth and rarely snag, but remove it for sports with tight socks.
Can I wear it in the sea?
You can, but salt water and sand can dull silver and wear the cord, so we suggest removing it.
How do I get the right size?
Measure above the ankle bone and add 1.5 to 2 cm for a standard fit.
